Situated in the magical Italian city of Venice, on the Canal Grande.
16 rooms and 6 suites designed by Philippe Starck, where he mixes the four elements of dream, poetry, romanticism and tradition into a contemporary design philosophy that also captures the rich heritage of Venice.
The building was originally built as a ‘palazzina’ in the 16th century by the Grassi family, who came to settle in Venice from Bologna. They were wealthy sea merchants who also built the Palazzo Grassi, which now houses François-Henri Pinault’s contemporary art collection.
PG’s Club Restaurant puts guests in contact with the tastes and pleasures of the Venice lagoon. Designed to create a home-like atmosphere, the low lighting and beautifully selected Venetian glass pieces and antique books equally evokes a sensory feeling of luxury. Palazzina Grassi’s head chef Paolo Businaro, whose professional experience comes from twenty years spent in cities like Anchorage, New York and Paris, offers a cuisine that revisits old Venetian recipies and reinvents them with other influences borrowed from the Far East.
The Krug Lounge – the second in the world after São Paolo – is a showcase of informal sophistication, as if sitting in a cosy sitting room. While enjoying the Krug Cuvées, one cannot imagine a setting so unique as watching Venetian life as it glides slowly down the Grand Canal.
Complimentary wifi throughout the hotel.
Breakfast is prepared bespoke to your needs and is available anytime and anywhere in the hotel.
