Building

Built around 1835, the Grade II listed townhouse has late Georgian architectural features, which had in the past notable residents including a young Princess Victoria and Lord Louis Mountbatten.

Restaurant

Bistrot on the Square is an intimate restaruant and bar serving a modern-European menu.   Head chef Sophie Playtner-Read has extensive experience in French Bistro.  Having worked for the Terence Conran Group, Gordon Ramsay and Marco Pierre White, she trained for 3 years in Italian pastry and classic French cooking.  French bistro and French food are Sophie’s passions and she has lovingly crafted a French menu that showcases her talent, adding her own twists and flair along the way.
