Hotel Description

Location

Once a Roman settlement known as Ausugum, Borgo Valsugana lies alongside the River Brenta 30km away from Trento.

Rooms

All 15 rooms have all been newly refurbished by its owners offering an authentic budget boutique experience. Room sizes are extremely airy and generous in size. However, request that you ask for a room that isn’t close the church, as the bells ring on a regular basis.

Often countryside hotels have an old-fashioned feeling which sometimes doesn’t offer the comfort that guests would prefer.  Nonetheless, Locanda in Borgo offers everything of that cosy, warm and friendly feeling, yet in a fresh and modern environment.

The building

The building was originally built in 1775 exactly on the Corso Ausugum.  Fortunately, it was one of the few buildings that were saved from a huge fire that destroyed a large part of the town. Consequently, this was due to most of the buildings having been built using wood.

Spa

Budget boutique hotels do not usually offer guests a spa.  Yet, being in Trentino, the concept of wellness in this region is taken very seriously.  In the spa of Locanda in Borgo, guests can be treated with a salt chamber, a Finnish sauna, and a Turkish Bath. Therefore, all extremely beneficial after a long day of outdoor activities.

Cake Shop

First of all, count the number of hotels that have inside a cake shop. Consequently, guests will be delighted to indulge in fresh Italian pastries made by renowned cake brand La Golosità from Bassano del Grappa.

Wifi

Free wifi is provided for hotel guests.

Breakfast

The breakfast room offers an intimate buffet of local treats, including cakes made freshly by the owners, local Asiago cheeses, and salami, as well as fresh fruit cereals and bread.  Therefore, there definitely is a wide array of choice to fill up the belly if you’re thinking to do a day of trekking or cycling.
